Cracks and sink holes
Question:
Unfortunately most of my first batch of eight candles have sink holes near the wick. Could you suggest what I have done wrong so I can avoid this next time. Also can I just melt some more wax and top up the candles that have a hole?
Answer:
You can certainly add extra wax to these. However it is best to avoid this for a better look.
Pour temperature 75˚C for GW464 Soy Wax (with Container Maker 40ml per kg) and for the other soy wax pour at 70˚C. This means there is less contraction as it cools.
