Run at our dedicated classroom at our office in Seven Hills the classes are a fun way to learn the basics of candle making.

Our teachers will guide you through safety and basic set-up, then progress to basic techniques that you can reproduce easily at home or scale up for a business.

This forum  focuses on the details of candle making, covering the advanced techniques. We generally recommend a good knowledge and working experience as a prerequisite for this class.

Our insurance only covers your children if they are 16 years and over. As we are using hot wax, we need them to be mature and tall enough to stay safe.

At home your children can join you, in a safe environment where you can control the pouring.

Alternatively at home you can also make candles from beeswax sheets, no heating.

Please ask your teacher or group leader to phone us for assistance to see what activity would suit the group best, and how to run it safely.

Including the children in your craft at home is most satisfying and a great family activity.

Rolling beeswax would be the most user friendly activity.

If you choose to pour melted wax, be sure to set up safely so that no one gets hurt.

Always use the double saucepan method.

A responsible adult should control the pots on the stove and only give the children small amounts of wax ready to pour - do not carry hot wax around the kitchen.

Generally we would recommend rolling beeswax candles. However we have had some brave mums who are happy to melt wax and control the pots for a safe happy activity. I would recommend asking other adults to help supervise.

Yes certainly. If you are able, it is preferred to make your order on the site, for accuracy and security.

If you have never made a candle before, our best recommendation would be to purchase a kit. That way you have the ingredients delivered in one box, and you have experience and knowledge of product before visiting and re-purchasing in bulk.

There are many kits on-line, one is sure to suit you!

Our site is used by both hobbyists and businesses. The larger quantities and box sizes have wholesale discounts applied. If you are after larger sizes than you see there, please email the office so we can quote on your needs.

Sure. You can place an order, choosing the pick-up option or simply shop when you arrive.

We are open Mon-Fri from 8am until 4pm.

Once you view the shopping basket, you will see the quantity displayed. By altering the quantity, you will change the basket immediately.

We generally pack the day after you pay for your order. This is our 'best practice' thought there may be delays on Mondays, long weekends and the lead up to Christmas. These peak times should only delay you 1 day.

After that your tracking will keep you informed about the transit to you, that is out of our hands though we do use reliable post and courier services.

Adding the message 'safe to leave'may be faster as you will not need re-delivery or going to the post office for collection.

Please look for your tracking - it may have been sorted into your spam or promotions inboxes. If you can't see it there please email the office for your tracking information.

We will always do our best to find your parcel and have it delievered promptly.

Happy to help - if we can. Once your order is shipped there is nothing we can do. We understand sometimes the wrong product is added in the order, so if we can change it we will.

We understand that circumstances can change wquickly.

If the order has not been packed or sent we will be happy to refund 100% but if it is packed or on its way, you will incur 10% re-stocking fee (and postage back to us).

Please phone the office to let us know, we can hold the first order for combining.

Then please make a new order on-line - once the orders are combined and despatched, we will refund any excess postage paid on the second order.

We are always willing to help you get the order corrected. First please check your order again, many times we have packed an item inside another, tucked an item down the side or wrapped it in disguise!

Every complete order should get a status email. If you did not get one, your email address may have been entered incorrectly or the email may have been sorted to your spam or other mailbox.

No problem. We endeavour to pack glass really well. However sometimes it's not perfect or the couriers a re really rough.

It is our responsibitlity to see your product gets to you safely, so pleae take a photo of the breakages and email them to the office so we can credit you for your loss.

Yes, an email will be sent to you as soon as the courieer has collected your roder.

Please check your tracking. Many consignments get separated as they travel. Generally we find the second box will come to you one day later.

We can ship pretty much anywhere in the world. As many of our products are unique, we happily provide this service.

We will usually send through the post office, with tracking. We can also offer DHL or TNT for certain products.

Once you have placed your roder we will quote the postage and send a paypal request - this way you can pay with your paypal account or your credit card.

If the quote is too high, we are happy to cancel and refund the order.

Shopify has tight security so you know your information is safe.

We offer the Shopify credit card facility, Paypal or EFT/pay to our bank.

If your internet connection is intermittent or slow, it can work best to use the EFT option - then you can bank personally or transfer when the internet has a better connection.

Our site is hosted by Shopify. it is a large corporation with all the checks in place for a secure platform, including both financial transactions and your personal information. Shopify has online security as the number one priority. It is certified Level 1 PCI DSS compliant. There is also a 2-step authentication to our site to prevent hacking.

Starting any new craft or hobby can be daunting. That’s why AACM has spent a great deal of time putting together video tutorials.

You can make gorgeous candle without nay heat and melting.

Try rolling beeswax sheets, they can be rolled to the size you need. Also try pouring palm wax into a container and adding a wick - this is a sand candle.

For these projects, we have provided info and videos on the site.

Outside the pot, it will read the room temperature, please don't expect it to be zero when you buy it!!

Your thermometer reads the temperature of your wax, place it inside the wax pot, not in the water.

Please refer to our 'Video and Info' page for some mini tutorials to help you get started. It is a great idea to get started with a kit.

Any of your used glass can be cleaned up and used again. Be sure to buy one of the waxes from the 'container wax' section.

It is most important to melt over water, using the double saucepan method.

Other methods do not have any mechanism for temperature control and may lead to over-heating of the wax resulting in fire.

Our wax section is divided into wax for pillars ('hard' wax) and wax for containers ('softer' wax). This divides all our waxes into 2 basic categories, so with your end candle in mind you can choose from these easily.

On every wick product page, there is a size guide. The larger the wick, the larger the flame and more heat it will generate.

Please measure the diameter of your glass or mould then refer to the guide for the wick style you need.

We have paraffin wax which makes lovely candles; all the others are natural vegetable bases or beeswax.

If you fill the mould or the container with water it will read in volume/mls - simply use this number in grams. There will be a slight difference between your water and wax but you will have a little left over. It's the easiest way to find your weight per container.
