Himalayan Salt & Clay Soap Loaf

Make this beautiful, cleansing soap using quality melt and pour soap base and beautiful ingredients of Himalayan salt, Lavender Essential oil and French clay.

• 0.5 KG of transparent melt and pour 
• 1KG of white melt and pour 
• 200gm Pink Himalayan Salt Crystals
• Lavender essential oil
• 1 tablespoon pink clay
• Loaf mould

STEP 1

Chop the 500gm transparent soap into small chunks, around 2cm square. 

Do the same for the 1kg white soap, in a separate container.

STEP 2

Melt the soap, transparent first, in a double saucepan.
Alternatively melt the base in a microwave for about 3 minutes, in 30 second blasts until melted throughout.

STEP 3

Once the transparent is melted, add essential oil and mix through. Then pour into your loaf mould.

STEP 4

Sprinkle the salt into the mold and transparent mix so they settle all through the soap.

STEP 5

Melt the 1kg White melt and pour soap.

Add the dry clay and stir into the soap with the essential oil and mix thoroughly. Once you're happy the first layer has set a little, and the clay is mixed well, then pour into the loaf tin.

Sprinkle with more of the salt to sit through the clay layer.

Let cool and set over night, slice when cold!
