Bring your skin to life with this exfoliating coffee soap! Imagine making a soap that smells like fresh brewed coffee mixed with hazelnut. With our melt and pour soap recipe and simple soap instructions, this is a perfect soap making project.

YOU WILL NEED:

STEP 1

Chop the soap into small chunks, around 2cm square. Separate the soap into piles of the following for easier melting: 1 x 400g white, 1 x 1100g white

STEP 2

Melt the first 1100gm soap in a microwave for about 3 minutes, in 30 second blasts to ensure the soap isn't over heated. Alternatively use a double boiler to melt.

When melted add 3ml coffee hazelnut fragrance

STEP 3

Mix the instant coffee and white clay together with some boiling water until a thick paste is formed, add this to the 1100gm melted soap along with the coffee grounds.
Pour this to 1/3 of the mould.

** spray with alcohol between each layer to remove bubbles and also assist bonding.

STEP 4

Melt the 400gm of white soap and add on-top of the previous layer allowing plenty of time for the previous pour to cool.

When melted add 1ml coffee hazelnut fragrance

** Keep your pour as even as possible for the best results.

STEP 5

Re-heat the original coffee soap mix and pour the remaining amount on top of the white layer once it has cooled sufficiently.

STEP 6

Allow to cool over night and you're done!
